Agrotourism

Greece is famous mostly for the greek islands, the ancient greek monuments and its wonderful beaches. But there is another side of greece, away from the expensive all-inclusive hotels. The rural areas of greece, the countryside, the traditional villages, offer unique experiences to the visitor.
Agrotourism industry in greece hasn't been promoted in the past, overshadowed by the rapid expansion of the mainstream tourism industry. In the last decade or so though, an effort to promote agrotourism and eco-tourism has been made.
Agrotourist units are being developed all over the country and visitors there have the opportunity to live with the locals and get a closer look to the authentic way of life and traditions of the country.
